Diese Arbeit schlägt einen Ansatz zur Diagnose von Softwarefehlern in komplexen fehlertoleranten Systemen vor, der die Phasen der Fehlererkennung, Fehlerlokalisierung und Systemwiederherstellung umfasst. Fehler werden in der ersten Phase unter Ausnutzung der Unterstützung durch das Betriebssystem erkannt. Fehler werden während der Lokalisierungsphase durch einen auf maschinellem Lernen basierenden Ansatz identifiziert. Sobald der Fehler lokalisiert ist, wird die beste Wiederherstellungsmaßnahme ausgelöst. Während der Lokalisierungsphase werden auch Feedback-Maßnahmen eingesetzt, um die Erkennungsqualität im Laufe der Zeit zu verbessern. Als Fallstudie zur Bewertung des vorgeschlagenen Ansatzes wurde eine reale Anwendung aus dem Bereich der Flugsicherung herangezogen. Die durch Fehlerinjektion erzielten Versuchsergebnisse zeigen, dass die Diagnosemaschine in der Lage ist, Fehler mit hoher Genauigkeit und geringem Aufwand zu diagnostizieren.
