Renate Nitsch entwickelt ein Diagnoseinstrument, das typische Lernschwierigkeiten bei Darstellungswechseln zu linearen und quadratischen Funktionen erfasst. Zur Konzeption des Diagnoseinstruments zieht sie in der Literatur referierte Lernschwierigkeiten, insbesondere Fehlvorstellungen, heran, wobei die Tätigkeitstheorie als theoretische Grundlage zur Beschreibung von Lernschwierigkeiten und deren Ursachen dient. Die Autorin weist in der Hauptstudie neun typische Fehlermuster nach und zeigt, dass diese sich meist auf dahinterliegende Fehlvorstellungen zurückführen lassen. Mit der Digitalisierung des Tests und der Einführung eines automatischen Feedbacks für Lehrer und Schüler entsteht schließlich ein im Schulalltag flexibel einsetzbares Testinstrument.
