’Development Journalism: Acceptability and Implementation’ is a comprehensive material which looks through the existing theoretical and practical arguments about development, journalism, communication, development journalism and development communication. The book is largely based on an intensive case study at the Ethiopian Radio and Television Agency (ERTA). It analyzes conceptual and practical arguments pertaining to the acceptability and implementation of development journalism across regions, media houses and practitioners. Though the emphasis of the entire appraisal is the developing countries’ trends, some sort of comparative tone is applied to examine the prevailing notions and actions of both developed and developing nations. At last, the book presents pragmatic points of conclusions that are derived from findings of the case study. And, it proposes several points of considerations throughout the efforts for enhancing the efficiency of development journalism in the developing world.
