Cette approche utilise une exécution séquentielle unique d’opérateurs morphologiques pour extraire les caractéristiques des images de fond d’œil comme les vaisseaux, les lésions rouges et les lésions blanches, ainsi qu’une analyse des caractéristiques de texture. Enfin, les caractéristiques sélectionnées sont transmises au classificateur bien connu de la machine à vecteur de support (SVM) qui classe les images en classes normales et anormales, et les régions anormales peuvent être extraites.
