Komunikacja tekstowa jest najczęściej wykorzystywanym środkiem przekazywania danych przez Internet, obok obrazów, plików audio i wideo. Istnieje wiele platform dla zwykłego tekstu, takich jak książki, gazety, strony internetowe, reklamy, prace badawcze, dokumenty prawne, listy, powieści, poezja i wiele innych dokumentów. Bezpieczeństwo treści tekstowych jest istotną kwestią dla ochrony praw autorskich, której nie można lekceważyć. W tym przypadku zaprojektowano i wdrożono algorytm zerowego znakowania wodnego oparty na częstotliwości występowania samogłosek znaków ASCII i artykułów w celu ochrony praw autorskich zwykłego tekstu. Algorytm osadzania wykorzystuje częstotliwość występowania samogłosek i artykułów do wygenerowania specjalnego klucza autora. Algorytm ekstrakcji wykorzystuje ten klucz do wyodrębnienia znaku wodnego, a tym samym do identyfikacji pierwotnego właściciela praw autorskich. Wyniki eksperymentów pokazują skuteczność proponowanego algorytmu w przypadku dokumentów tekstowych narażonych na różne ataki temperujące.
