A cronologia do desenvolvimento intra-pupal em Peckia intermutans e Peckia lambens foi descrita com base em mil cento e vinte e cinco pupas, sendo duzentas e setenta de P. intermutans e oitocentas e cinquenta e cinco de P. lambens. As pupas foram fixadas em solução de Carnoy por 48 horas, em intervalos de três horas para completar as primeiras 24 horas e, após seis horas, até o surgimento dos primeiros adultos. Dois momentos foram observados durante o processo de pupação, o primeiro foi a apólise larval-pupal, que é o processo de separação da última cutícula larval da epiderme pré-pupal. O segundo envolveu as seguintes fases: (a) a pupa criptocefálica; (b) a pupa fanerocefálica e (c) o adulto farato, a fase mais longa de todo o desenvolvimento.
