Este trabalho de investigação tem como objetivo investigar a relação entre o desempenho docente e o empenho profissional dos professores do ensino secundário que leccionam disciplinas fora da sua área de estudo principal em escolas públicas. O objetivo é identificar os factores que influenciam a eficácia do ensino e a dedicação à profissão. Através da análise de dados sobre as qualificações dos professores, as práticas na sala de aula, os resultados dos alunos e as actividades de desenvolvimento profissional, o estudo procura fornecer informações sobre a forma como os professores não licenciados podem ser mais bem apoiados para melhorar o seu desempenho docente e o seu empenho nas suas funções educativas.
