Wissenschaftlicher Aufsatz aus dem Jahr 1996 im Fachbereich Philosophie - Praktische (Ethik, Ästhetik, Kultur, Natur, Recht, ...), Note: keine, Kyoto Sangyo University (German Department), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Immer wieder sind allgemeine Kriterien, die für alle Kunstarten anwendbar sein sollen, aufgestellt und wieder verworfen worden, wie z.B. 'exemplarischer Ausdruck', 'Intuition', 'bedeutende Form', 'objektivierter Genuss', 'imaginierte Wunscherfüllung', 'Erlebnis', 'soziale Mitteilung', 'Harmonie', 'Einheit in der Vielheit', 'Organismus'. Keiner dieser Begriffe kann die Grundlage für eine allgemeine und umfassende Definition abgeben. Allenfalls weisen sie auf bestimmte hervorstechende Eigenschaften spezifischer Kunstarten hin. Nachdem die Ästhetik endlich die fruchtlose Diskussion historisch bedingter und zudem vager Begriffe (wie 'das Schöne', 'das Erhabene' etc.) und einseitig gewonnener Verallgemeinerungen wie der zuvor genannten aufgegeben hatte und sich der ontologischen und phänomenologischen Analyse des Kunstwerks und seiner Beziehung zum Menschen zuwandte, stellte sich heraus, dass nur die Schichtenanalyse geeignet war, die Besonderheit von Kunst im Vergleich zu anderen menschlichen Gestaltungen befriedigend zu definieren.
