In dieser Studie wird der Übergang von der reformpädagogischen Grundschule in die weiterführende Regelschule in einem qualitativen Längsschnitt untersucht. Einmal vor und zweimal nach dem Wechsel an die Regelschule wurden Kinder interviewt, die diesen Übergang vollziehen. Eine schulaffine Haltung ist den Beforschten gemeinsam. Im Hinblick darauf, welche schulischen Erwartungen, welche Erfahrung und Verarbeitung des Übergangs damit verbunden ist, zeigen sich in den drei Fällen, die den Kern der dokumentarischen Längsschnittanalyse bilden, unterschiedliche Fallgestalten.
