Nach einer kurzen Einleitung erfolgt im zweiten Abschnitt die Betrachtung der gesellschaftlichen Rollenerwartungen an die Arzt-Patient-Beziehung in Anlehnung an Parsons. Im dritten Abschnitt werden die Einflussfaktoren auf die Beziehung zwischen Arzt und Patient erläutert, ehe im vierten Abschnitt die Gegenwart und die zukünftige Entwicklung des Arzt-Patienten-Verhältnisses betrachtet werden. Insbesondere wird hier auf die asymetrische Beziehung sowie die Probleme und Chancen in den Sektoren der Information und Kommunikation eingegangen. Abschließend folgt das Fazit.
