Die auf dem Markt am häufigsten verwendeten Stromwandler werden mit Übersetzungsverhältnissen hergestellt, die einen sekundären Nennstrom von fünf Ampere aufweisen, und mehrere Merkmale hängen von diesem Strom ab. Die Funktion des Stromwandlers besteht im Wesentlichen darin, eine Gruppe von Geräten zu Mess- oder Schutzzwecken zu versorgen, ohne dass diese direkt an den Primärstromkreis angeschlossen sind. Anhand der theoretischen Untersuchung der Stromwandler und der damit verbundenen Berechnungen wird eine Studie über den möglichen Ersatz dieser Stromwandler durch andere mit einem sekundären Nennstrom von einem Ampere durchgeführt, um die Kosten für den Kauf eines Stromwandlers zu senken, indem die Verluste reduziert und modernere Mess- und Schutzgeräte verwendet werden, ohne dass die Qualität des Betriebs des Stromwandlers und der Mess- und Schutzsysteme beeinträchtigt wird.
