Für die freiheitsentziehende Unterbringung Volljähriger hat der Gesetzgeber mit § 1906 eine eigenständige Rechtsgrundlage im Zivilrecht geschaffen. Integraler Bestandteil des Betreuungsrechts ist außerdem eine vollständige Neuregelung des Unterbringungsverfahrensrechts (§§ 70 ff. FGG), die über den Anwendungsbereich der materiellrechtlichen Änderung hinausgeht. Im Mittelpunkt steht gleichsam die Auslegung des Begriffs der freiheitsentziehenden Unterbringung und die neue Genehmigungspflichtigkeit der sog. 'unterbringungsähnlichen Maßnahmen'. Dabei hat der Autor stets die in der Praxis aktuellen Situationen und Problemfelder im Auge.
