Objectif de l’étude : Évaluer la prévalence de l’addiction au Smartphone chez les médecins stagiaires et déterminer les facteurs qui y sont associés.Méthodes : Il s’agissait d’une étude transversale observationnelle, descriptive et analytique, ciblant les médecins stagiaires. Nous avons utilisé le Smartphone Addiction Scale-Short Version (SAS-SV) pour évaluer la dépendance au smartphone.Résultats : Notre étude a inclus 385 participants. L’âge moyen était de 28 ans ± 2,1. Le sex-ratio (homme/femme) était de 0,3. Le score SAS-SV moyen était de 29,67 ± 11. Cent quatre-vingt-onze médecins stagiaires (49,6 %) étaient accros au Smartphone. la durée d’utilisation quotidienne et l’utilisation préférentielle des réseaux sociaux étaient associées à l’addiction au Smartphone (p < 10-3).Conclusion : Les jeunes stagiaires en médecine constituent une population particulièrement vulnérable à l’addiction au smartphone. Cela pourrait avoir un impact important sur leur développement personnel et professionnel, et ainsi entraver le système de santé.Des programmes éducatifs de sensibilisation et de prévention en milieu médical concernant la santé numérique et le bien-être mental sont donc essentiels.
