Introduction: shock is a syndrome characterized by generalized tissue hypoperfusion, with cellular hypoxia due to low oxygen delivery, increased consumption or inadequate utilization. This research was conducted with the aim of determining the risk factors predictive of death in patients with shock. Methods: the study was observational, longitudinal and prospective about risk factors predictive of death in patients with shock, in the period from December 2021 to the same month of 2023 in the Intensive Care Unit 8B of the Clinical Surgical Hospital 'Hermanos Ameijeiras'.
