El explorador 'gringo' encontró pueblos apartados, haciendas, montañas, selvas, caminos casi intransitables... y personajes de todas las razas. Muchas noches durmió a la intemperie y saboreó platillos exóticos. En Honduras, visitó la bella Santa Rosa de Copán, se maravilló con la cultura maya y atravesó el país de 'las enormes profundidades'. La obra permite descubrir la Honduras de principios del siglo XX, su geografía, costumbres y formas de vida. HARRY ALVERSON FRANCK. Escritor, viajero y cronista estadounidense. Nació el 29 de junio de 1881 en Michigan, Estados Unidos, y murió el 18 de abril de 1962 en New Hope, Pensilvania.
