Dit bezoek maakt herinneringen los die de lezer een uitstekend beeld geven van het leven in oorlogstijd. Han zat samen met zijn broer Wim (Derk Willem), zijn vader, een oom en huisbaas in het verzet, zonder dat hij zich hier zo sterk bewust van was. Wim raakte in de oorlog gewond door een schotwond in zijn rug. Hij overleed uiteindelijk in 1947 hieraan. Dit boekje is een eerbetoon aan Wim.©Renate van Nijen
