In diesem Buch untersucht Jörg Schmal erstmalig das Arbeitszeitmodell permanenter Nachtarbeit in der Pflegebranche und die Beweggründe von Pflegenden zum Einstieg, zum Verbleib und zum Ausstieg aus der Tätigkeit. Der Autor systematisiert dies im Sinne einer Typologie. Den Ergebnissen liegen dreizehn teilstandardisierte Interviews zugrunde, die mittels MAXQDA anhand der Schritte der typologischen Analyse nach Kuckartz ausgewertet wurden. Ziel ist es ein umfassendes Verständnis für die Situation Pflegender und den Wert der von ihnen erbrachten Tätigkeit in ausschließlicher Nachtarbeit zu erhalten.
