Studien zu den aus den gesellschaftlichen Umbruch- bzw. Wandlungsprozessen resultierenden Veränderungen in der Berufstätigkeit ostdeutscher LehrerInnen setzten bisher vornehmlich auf der Ebene der gesellschaftlichen Makrostrukturen, der Struktur des Schulsystems und der Binnenkultur von Schule an. Untersuchungen zum konkreten unterrichtlichen Handeln, darauf bezogene Deutungsmuster sowie deren (berufs-)biographische Rückbettung bleiben dagegen weiterhin ein Desiderat. Im Mittelpunkt dieser empirischen Studie stehen daher die im engeren Sinne ’inhaltlichen’ Dimensionen der Lehrerarbeit, deren Wirkungszusammenhänge und (berufs-)biographische Einbettung. Dies geschieht im Kontext von Videokonfrontationen zum unterrichtlichen Handeln sowie berufsbiographischen Interviews.
