Dieses Buch ist eine Sammlung von Überlegungen und Analysen zum aktuellen Stand der „Abfallproblematik' und zur Behandlung dieses Themas in der Grundbildung. Wir haben uns dabei von der Kritischen Umwelterziehung (KU) leiten lassen, die hier als eine Analysemethode verstanden wird, die von einer sequentiellen Praxis und Erfassung der Realität durch Wahrnehmung und eine Haltung der kritisch-reflexiven Untersuchung ausgeht. Wir haben das Thema Müll in der Stadt gewählt, da es sich um ein grundlegendes Thema für die Entwicklung von Kindern und Jugendlichen handelt, die sich mehr mit ökologischen Aspekten wie Müll in der Stadt, Luftverschmutzung, Wasserproblematik, Abfall usw. beschäftigen. Das Hauptziel dieser Studie ist es, den Stand der Technik zum Thema Müll in der Stadt zu erfassen, wobei CAT eine grundlegende Kategorie im Prozess der Umwandlung der Mittel und Formen der Realitätswahrnehmung darstellt. Ausgehend von diesem Kontext hat die Frage, die diese Arbeit antreibt, als ihren Hauptort die Reihe von Kompetenzen und Fähigkeiten, die im Lehr-Lern-Prozess auf der Grundlage des Themas Müll vermittelt werden sollen.
