Dazu werde ich zunächst den Begriff Performativität betrachten und dabei näher auf die theoretischen Ansätze von John L. Austin und Judith Butler eingehen. Danach werde ich bestimmte Aspekte des Performativen aus diesen dargestellten Theorien herausfiltern, die die Sicht auf das Stück Kaspar um eine performativitäts-theoretische Lesart erweitern können. Dabei möchte ich überprüfen, inwiefern die Kategorie der Performativität für die Betrachtung eines modernen Theaterstückes hilfreich sein kann.
