Every year the librarian wants to tell the children how sad she gets when one of her friends is damaged by common accidents to books. She lets seven books tell their story of how their lives changed when they were returned damaged.The book was reviewed with the comment: 'While the pictures are colorful and reflect the text, they are childlike.
