Questo studio analizza i fattori determinanti della gestione del dolore in un contesto assistenziale che mira a umanizzare. Il dolore rimane una delle principali cause di consultazione. Nella gestione del dolore entrano in gioco diversi fattori, tra cui la valutazione, che è la prima linea di difesa per gli interventi sia farmacologici sia non farmacologici. Nella comunità, la gestione del dolore si basa sull’automedicazione, con conseguenze dannose. Questo studio dimostra che il dolore può essere gestito correttamente solo se il personale tiene conto degli strumenti di valutazione e della classificazione degli interventi non farmacologici. A tal fine, il personale infermieristico deve basare la propria pratica sull’uso di strumenti standard.
