O foco do presente trabalho é a relação entre o impacto da cultura como fator social na cognição científica das crianças. É interessante notar que a Tolerância à Ambiguidade (TA), que pode ser definida como uma atitude social, está teoricamente relacionada com os valores culturais e é também um importante fator de previsão do potencial criativo individual. Por conseguinte, através da TA como fator social, podem ser revelados certos aspectos da relação entre a cultura e a cognição criativa. Atualmente, porém, não se conhece a relação das TA com a cognição criativa científica individual, nem, consequentemente, a relação com as diferenças culturais. O objetivo geral deste estudo é compreender a relação entre as diferenças culturalmente aprendidas nas atitudes sociais e os aspectos da cognição criativa. Isto poderá levar a novas ideias para o desenvolvimento de estratégias de promoção, ensino e aprendizagem da criatividade científica para as crianças, independentemente das suas origens culturais. Foi realizado um estudo empírico com crianças (dos 9 aos 11 anos) na Rússia, Tailândia, França, Índia e Luxemburgo. Através de um modelo apresentado: a 'Teoria da Atuação Cultural', o presente estudo dá sugestões práticas para promover a criatividade.
