Habitamos un tiempo en que lo visual ha cobrado una centralidad tal que demanda a las y los educadores la necesidad de ocuparnos de la construcción de miradas sensibles, críticas y reflexivas en las infancias. La educación de la mirada y las problemáticas de la imagen constituyen una preocupación transversal que interpela tanto a especialistas como a generalistas en busca de una formación integral para estas subjetividades contemporáneas configuradas a la luz de múltiples imágenes y pantallas. Convoca a quienes abordan estas temáticas en distintos ámbitos: escuelas, museos y talleres. Este libro busca acompañar la tarea de formar a las infancias en la experiencia estética. Propone trascender los límites disciplinares para avanzar hacia un abordaje polifónico. Se ocupa especialmente del mirar y de quienes enseñan y sostienen la construcción de la mirada y de infancias que se empoderan de sus posibilidades de mirar y mirarse, de reflexionar sobre lo mirado y sobre los sentidos que construyen a partir de lo que suscita aquello que observan.
