Countdown

Are Jews merely a religion-or are they a nation with a unique role in history and redemption? In Countdown: American Jews & God’s Plan for Redemption, Rabbi Elie Mischel confronts one of the most urgent and controversial questions facing the Jewish world today. What may sound like an abstract academic debate is actually the fault line beneath accusations of dual loyalty, rising antisemitism from both the left and right, and the growing alienation of young American Jews from their identity and heritage. As public figures and extremists increasingly weaponize this question against the Jewish people, Rabbi Mischel argues that the time for avoidance has passed. Drawing on biblical prophecy, Jewish history, and current events, Countdown presents a compelling case that the future of American Jewry is deeply connected to God’s unfolding plan for redemption. The answer American Jews give to this question, Rabbi Mischel warns, will determine not only their own future-but the future of nations. The window of opportunity God has opened will not remain forever.Provocative, timely, and deeply rooted in Torah thought, Countdown is both a warning and a call to action for Jews and Christians seeking to understand the spiritual stakes of our generation.Author Bio Rabbi Elie Mischel is the author of The War Against the Bible: Ishmael, Esau and Israel at the End Times.
