Parmi les procédés de mise en forme, le soudage des aciers inoxydables se distingue, car il est reconnu qu’il s’agit de l’une des opérations qui peuvent compromettre ces matériaux. Ainsi, l’utilisation de procédures de soudage inappropriées peut affecter de manière permanente certaines caractéristiques du matériau, entraînant des altérations significatives du métal de base, notamment en termes de comportement mécanique et de résistance à la corrosion. Ce livre traite du joint soudé entre un acier inoxydable austénitique Aisi 309 et un acier inoxydable duplex Aisi 2304. Plusieurs joints ont été réalisés et soumis à des essais de corrosion sous contrainte jusqu’à la rupture complète, puis analysés.
