A presente obra é o resultado do trabalho de conclusão realizado no curso de Pós-Gradução em Desenvolvimento Regional, da Universidade Federal do Tocanitns - UFT. O objetivo é transmitir o conhecemento sobre a gestão de cooperativas, como mecanismo de apoio ao desenvolvimento econômico e social desses empreendimento, sobre a perspectiva dos princípios cooperativistas. A prática dos princípios cooperativistas é ponto de inflexão para o modelo de organização cooperativa, cuja finalidade é a prestação de serviços para os associados. Nesse sentido, parte-se da compreensão sobreleva desses e de como a cooperativa, objeto de pesquisa, Sicoob Tocantins, está estruturada para desenvolvê-los e assim contribuir para atender às necessidades dos seus associados e projetar resultados ecnômicos, financeiros e, principalmente, sociais.
