As mulheres grávidas podem ser confrontadas com sinais de alarme súbitos e imprevisíveis que indicam riscos, designados por sinais de perigo, que podem potencialmente pôr em risco a vida da mãe ou do feto. Sensibilizar as mulheres grávidas para os sinais de perigo através de sessões de ensino pré-natal sobre saúde melhorou a identificação e a deteção precoce de problemas. Os resultados do presente estudo concluíram que as sessões de ensino sobre saúde tiveram um efeito no aumento dos conhecimentos das mulheres grávidas sobre os sinais de perigo durante a gravidez, o que pode ajudar na deteção precoce e no controlo dos sintomas perigosos e das complicações que podem surgir durante a evolução da gravidez. Recomendações: Ativar aulas de educação pré-natal sobre os sinais de perigo durante a gravidez como parte da visita pré-natal de rotina e divulgar uma brochura árabe simples relacionada com os sinais de perigo durante a gravidez para cada mulher grávida durante a visita pré-natal.
