A criopreservação de ovócitos é uma tecnologia reprodutiva emergente que tem como objetivo preservar a fertilidade à luz do relógio biológico. Este estudo avaliou o impacto de um programa educativo nos conhecimentos, atitudes e intenções relacionados com a criopreservação entre 334 mulheres trabalhadoras da Universidade de Beni-Suef, no Egito, utilizando um desenho quase-experimental com pré e pós-testes. Os resultados mostraram um aumento significativo dos conhecimentos, com 79,9% de boas notas no pós-teste, em comparação com 0,9% no pré-teste. As atitudes positivas aumentaram de 3% para 65% e as intenções moderadas aumentaram para 86,5%. O programa melhorou significativamente a compreensão geral e a disposição dos participantes relativamente à criopreservação de oócitos. O estudo recomenda a integração deste conhecimento no aconselhamento pré-matrimonial nos centros de saúde materno-infantil para aumentar a consciencialização sobre a preservação da fertilidade e os seus benefícios para a qualidade de vida futura.
