Un réseau neuronal de rétropropagation à trois couches, entièrement connecté à la couche suivante par le biais des poids de connexion, est utilisé pour prédire la conductivité thermique effective des composites polymères chargés en métal. Les fractions de volume et les conductivités thermiques des phases continues et dispersées ont été utilisées comme paramètres d’entrée et une sortie sous forme de conductivité thermique effective des composites polymères a été obtenue. Les prédictions de conductivité thermique effective obtenues par les différentes fonctions d’apprentissage du réseau neuronal artificiel sont en accord avec les données expérimentales disponibles. Les différentes fonctions d’entraînement du réseau neuronal artificiel démontrent la capacité d’utiliser les réseaux neuronaux artificiels pour prédire la conductivité thermique effective de divers types de matériaux complexes sur mesure.
