Conditions socio-économiques des femmes rurales examine les défis, la situation et l’autonomisation des femmes rurales en Inde. Elle souligne que les femmes rurales jouent un rôle essentiel dans l’agriculture, la gestion du foyer et le développement communautaire, mais qu’elles continuent de faire face à la pauvreté, à l’analphabétisme, à la discrimination fondée sur le genre, à de faibles salaires, ainsi qu’à un accès limité à l’éducation, aux soins de santé, à la propriété, au crédit et à la prise de décision. L’étude aborde l’importance des groupes d’entraide (SHG), de l’entrepreneuriat, du développement des compétences et des programmes sociaux gouvernementaux pour améliorer la situation économique et sociale des femmes. Elle passe en revue la contribution des femmes à l’agriculture et aux moyens de subsistance ruraux, tout en mettant l’accent sur les obstacles tels que les normes patriarcales, la violence, l’inégalité des chances et le manque de ressources. Le document explore également la participation politique des femmes, leurs droits juridiques et le rôle de l’éducation dans leur autonomisation. Dans l’ensemble, il conclut que le développement rural durable dépend de l’amélioration de l’éducation des femmes, de leur emploi, de leur indépendance financière, de l’égalité des droits, des opportunités de leadership et de leur participation active au développement familial, communautaire et national.
