Un ressort à lames est une forme simple de ressort de suspension utilisé pour absorber les vibrations induites par le mouvement d’un véhicule. L’industrie automobile s’intéresse de plus en plus au remplacement des ressorts à lames en acier (55Si 7) par des ressorts à lames composites (verre E/époxy) en raison de leur rapport résistance/poids élevé, de leur plus grande rigidité, de leur forte absorption de l’énergie d’impact et des contraintes moindres qu’ils subissent. Cette étude présente une analyse comparative entre les ressorts à lames en acier et les ressorts à lames en époxy renforcé de verre Jute/E.
