La compréhension de la chimie des huiles et des graisses, ainsi que de leurs méthodes d’extraction, est d’une importance fondamentale pour les êtres humains, compte tenu de la grande diversité des produits qui peuvent être générés à partir d’elles, ainsi que de leur utilisation à des fins pharmacologiques, industrielles et nutritionnelles. L’objectif de cette étude était de caractériser la composition chimique de l’huile fixe des graines d’Azadirachta indica (Nim), en termes d’acides gras, en utilisant différents procédés d’extraction. Cette caractérisation a été déterminée par chromatographie en phase gazeuse couplée à la spectrométrie de masse (GC-MS), à travers ses esters méthyliques, obtenus par les procédés de transestérification et de saponification séparément. L’étude a permis de caractériser l’huile des graines d’Azadirachta indica (Nim) en utilisant les méthodologies initialement proposées. En outre, les résultats sont logiques et solides, confirmant l’octadéc-9-énoate de méthyle comme produit principal dans tous les chromatogrammes.
