Ce livre présente les recherches sur les émissions de gaz à effet de serre (GES) provenant du traitement du fumier et la variation temporelle de l’ammoniac dans un environnement urbain. L’application de fumier solide peut libérer de grandes quantités de gaz à effet de serre. Ses implications ont rarement été évaluées en ce qui concerne le fumier solide de bovins de boucherie. Le comportement du CH4 et du CO2 a été examiné en fonction des conditions de traitement du fumier. Cette étude permettra d’établir un schéma de gestion des GES issus du traitement du fumier. L’analyse en ligne de l’ammoniac est effectuée sur deux sites de surveillance urbains. Les sources affectant sa variation temporelle sont évaluées à plusieurs égards. Les niveaux d’ammoniac dans l’air urbain présentent des tendances temporelles uniques sur le cycle saisonnier. Les résultats indiquent un lien potentiel entre les niveaux d’ammoniac et les activités de circulation.
