Este estudo foi realizado para investigar o comportamento de busca de informação online de estudantes de pós-graduação (PG) na Universidade Ahmadu Bello, em Zaria. Foram levantadas cinco questões de investigação e formuladas e testadas cinco (5) hipóteses com α=0,05. As questões de investigação procuraram descobrir os tipos de recursos e serviços de informação online disponíveis para utilização pelos estudantes de pós-graduação, as suas fontes de informação online, o seu padrão de pesquisa de informação e como avaliam e filtram a qualidade dos recursos de informação online (OIR) que utilizam. A investigação adotou o método de inquérito; o instrumento utilizado para a recolha de dados foi o questionário. As hipóteses nulas 1, 3, 4 e 5 foram analisadas utilizando ANOVA, enquanto a hipótese nula 2 foi analisada utilizando o teste t. O estudo descobriu que a maioria dos estudantes de pós-graduação está ciente dos recursos de informação online que utiliza frequentemente. A maioria dos estudantes de pós-graduação é extrovertida e entusiasmada com os resultados e a quantidade de informação que obtêm online. Este comportamento afeta a sua capacidade de obter a informação necessária. Recomenda-se que as bibliotecas universitárias intensifiquem o programa de formação existente para estudantes de pós-graduação.
