Her art has been exhibited both nationally and in a travelling exhibit in Japan. She obtained her B.A. degree in art from Roosevelt University, and completed her Masters level graduate studies in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling at Portland State University Graduate School, in Portland, Oregon.
