O Brasil se destaca como um dos maiores produtores mundiais de alimento e em especial das frutas, paradoxalmente a participação brasileira nas exportações de frutas ainda continua relativamente baixa, isso considerando o tamanho da sua produção. O objetivo deste livro é sobre analise da competitividade das exportações brasileiras de frutas para o mercado europeu, identificando assim, os importantes fatores que tem influenciado as exportações. É valido sublinhar que o mercado europeu é de fundamental importância para o escoamento da produção brasileira, considerado que é um dos maiores e mais atraente para o comércio das frutas.Para a construção deste livro, foram selecionados os dados de seguinte cultura: manga, uva, mamão e melão. Com isso, foi aplicado os modelos Constant Market Share - (CMS) no período de 1990 a 2009, e o modelo da Vantagem Comparativa Revelada - -(VCR) no período de 2000 a 2009. E ao longo da pesquisa foram tabulados diversos contatos com os funcionários e gestores de algumas fazendas produtoras e exportadoras de frutas para o referido mercado.
