Teniendo en cuenta que todas las empresas de nuestro país, cualquiera que sea su tamaño, deben poner en marcha Políticas de Igualdad, este libro pretende ser algo más que el típico manual para la realización de un Plan de Igualdad en la Empresa. La verdadera intención del texto es mostrar desde una perspectiva absolutamente práctica, cómo pueden ponerse en práctica esas Políticas y cómo posteriormente llevarlas a un Plan de Igualdad. Por ello, el enfoque elegido por el autor ha intentado superar los típicos puntos de vista generalmente elegidos para hablar sobre la Igualdad de Oportunidades entre mujeres y hombres en la empresa, y poner a disposición de empresarios, directivos, mandos y representantes de trabajadores y trabajadoras la experiencia del autor como consultor y gestor en recursos humanos (tanto en el ámbito de la empresa privada como en el de la consultoría). Con este enfoque se pretenden eliminar los posibles “prejuicios” y “desconfianzas” que se hayan podido asentar en algunos niveles organizativos de la empresa, trasladando a todos los protagonistas del proceso de puesta en marcha de Políticas de Igualdad en la misma, todo aquello que el autor ha aprendido a lo largo de los años, gracias, precisamente, a lo que los propios empresarios, los propios directivos y, sobre todo, los trabajadores y trabajadoras y sus representantes le han enseñado. 10
