No âmbito deste trabalho de licenciatura, serão discutidas e comparadas principalmente as duas adaptações cinematográficas da obra de King. Com base nestes dois filmes, será analisada a evolução dos métodos audiovisuais do filme de terror. Inicialmente, será feita uma análise dos dois filmes, para dar ao leitor uma visão geral dos dados, sucessos, etc. Em seguida, é apresentado um resumo da história do filme de terror e dos seus representantes mais conhecidos, bem como algumas considerações psicológicas sobre o tema medo no contexto do efeito do filme de terror. A parte principal deste trabalho é dedicada à imagem e ao som das duas adaptações cinematográficas de It.
