Nhi ha de diferents mides, formes i composicions geològiques i vegetals, però tots el doten de personalitat i donen forma a la seva silueta. En el llibre present es descriuen 25 excursions que permeten visitar 48 cims ubicats a la meitat més emblemàtica del massís: la serra de Sant Llorenç del Munt. La majoria daquests cims no ofereixen un accés complicat, i els que presenten més dificultats no són dascensió obligada. A més a més, es troben repartits per tota aquesta serra elegant i aèria i permeten albirar paisatges variats i, alhora, conèixer la diversitat vegetal i humana que omple cada bocí daquest venerat paradís natural.
