Christmas was always so special when I was growing up. The tree was decorated with antique ornaments and bubble lights. There was so much delicious food, including desserts that spilled over into my aunt’s kitchen. After our meal, we gathered around the Christmas tree to open gifts, one by one. There always was home, there always was family, there always was Christmas, back then.
