Subjects covered include the historical development of Chinese communities in peripheral areas of Indonesia, the religious practices of Chinese Indonesians, which are by no means confined to 'Chinese' religions, and Chinese ethnic events, where a wide range of Indonesians, not just Chinese, participate.
