Self-employment is essential in Germany for maintaining a healthy, functioning market economy. However, demographic change threatens to further reduce the proportion of self-employed people in the workforce. To prevent this, this form of employment must be made accessible to other groups than before. Therefore, based on behavioural and media impact research, a study was conducted to investigate the possible influence of consuming media that offer contact with professional self-employment on the intention to become self-employed.
