Der Colpamayo-Bach ist ein Nebenfluss des Chotano-Flusses, sein Wasser fließt südöstlich der Stadt Chota und wird in seinem Verlauf durch Abwassereinleitungen mit häuslichen und industriellen Abfällen verschmutzt. Ziel war es, die physikalisch-chemischen und mikrobiologischen Parameter des Wassers des Baches in sechs Probenahmestationen (MS) in der Niedrigwasser- (Juni), Niedrigwasser-Regen-Übergangs- (Oktober) und Regenzeit (November) zu charakterisieren und zu bewerten. Feststellung, dass die mikrobiologischen Parameter von fünf der sechs Probenahmestationen nicht den Umweltqualitätsnormen für Wasser der Kategorie III (ECA-Wasser. Kat. III) entsprechen. Von den physikalisch-chemischen Parametern: pH, Temperatur, elektrische Leitfähigkeit und Bikarbonate, liegen diese innerhalb der in der Norm festgelegten Bereiche. Die höchsten Werte der physikochemischen und mikrobiologischen Parameter treten während der Trockenzeit auf, während der Regenzeit nehmen sie ab.
