This book was developed based on field data obtained in Caraculo, in Namibe Province, and its aim was to phenotypically characterise the goats of Caraculo, with the aim of contributing to the preservation of the diversity of Angola’s zoogenetic resources. Quantitative and qualitative characteristics were assessed. The goats characterised had a diverse coat colour with a predominance of white, the horns were present in both sexes and directed backwards, the ears were positioned downwards and the predominant head profile was rectilinear. May the results of this work be taken as a benchmark for the characterisation of goats and other species.
