O medo de falar em público é uma fobia social. Falar em público tem sido um problema de longa data no domínio da comunicação e das línguas. Muitos estudantes tentam evitar falar em público por causa do embaraço, da voz trémula, do batimento cardíaco acelerado e da sensação de desconforto, do complexo de inferioridade e da baixa autoestima. Assim, este estudo investigou as causas e as consequências da glossofobia expressas por estudantes universitários da Universidade de Ilorin, na Nigéria.
