This story is about a family of kittens that have a traumatic happening early in their lives. The kittens are then taken into a caring family. The story covers the kitten family and their cat friends and relatives. Events in the lives of these pets, both happy and disappointing, set an example for children of how to deal with adversity, as well as being able to share the joy of pets with their friends. Children enjoy having small animals around, especially their pets. Their pets give them a feeling of ownership and a pal that is always available as a playmate. Children learn responsibility by caring for their pets, and they learn too that things usually work out for the best with a little patience.
