Il consiste en un modèle mathématique construit à partir d’une matrice tridimensionnelle qui permet de comprendre le fonctionnement du système nerveux en étudiant les canaux d’entrée et de sortie, sans acquérir de signaux électriques ni utiliser de systèmes d’imagerie sur les zones fonctionnelles actives, mais uniquement à travers des terminaux. Ce modèle est basé sur la logique utilisée dans la mémoire des dispositifs logiques programmables de différents équipements électroniques et sur les mathématiques qui y sont associées, ce qui permet une analyse simple, applicable à l’étude réelle du système nerveux.
