La physique est la science qui étudie les changements d’états. La chimie (et biochimie) est la science qui étudie les changements de nature. Selon CF Gauss (mathématicien), ce n’est pas la connaissance mais l’art d’apprendre, non pas la possession mais l’acte d’atteindre qui procure la plus grande joie. Selon A Einstein (physicien), la mathématique est un outil pour modéliser la réalité physique. La statistique est la science d’interprétation mathématique de données complexes permettant de faire des prévisions et de rendre les données compréhensibles. Professeur JM Tanner (pédiatre) insistait : le meilleur paramètre reflétant une bonne croissance est la taille Ce sont là des mots vrais, sages venant de personnes indéniablement savantes. C’est en m’inspirant de cela que modestement je me suis mis à mettre par écrit des données, concepts, équations élaborées au cours des années d’enseignement et ayant abouti à quelques publications.
