Il calorimetro a bomba misura il valore calorico del carbone, acido benzoico. Per prima cosa, pressiamo (1 g) di carbone nell’apposito apparecchio. Dopo aver fatto un pellet, prendiamo una bomba e attacciamo il filo nella croce e fissiamo il filo di cotone (10 cm) sul filo e sulla croce inseriti nella bomba. Ora collegare la linea dell’ossigeno alla parte superiore della bomba e aggiungere l’ossigeno a 400 kg/cm2. Aprire la valvola del tubo dell’ossigeno e tenere la bomba per inserirla nel recipiente. Ora chiudere il rivestimento con il piombo combinato e inserire il sensore per la misurazione della temperatura, il motore dell’agitatore e collegare gli elettrodi alla bomba attraverso il coperchio combinato. Ora nella bomba calorimetrica digitale si nota la temperatura iniziale dopo aver impostato lo zero con il pulsante di regolazione, ora si passa a far salire la temperatura e si dà fuoco con l’interruttore di accensione. Dopo qualche tempo la temperatura sale e in pochi secondi diventa costante, a quel punto il pellet brucia completamente. Ora si nota la temperatura costante e si calcola il valore standard del carbone e con questo si calcola il Cv del carbone.
